Biography

Biography

I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of Leeds and joined the Institute of Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in April 2025. My primary research interests lie in the metaphysics of science. My doctoral dissertation defends a position I call processual structuralism, which emerges from integrating ontic structural realism with process ontology in the context of biology. I am currently working on developing several papers based on this work and eventually aim to publish a monograph on the topic.

One line of research I plan to conduct during my postdoctoral work is to re-evaluate the philosophical debate between reductionism and emergentism from the perspective of scientific practice. Looking ahead, I plan to broaden my research scope to include fields such as the philosophy of cognitive science and artificial intelligence.
